Halloween {looking back}

I ALWAYS dress up for Halloween. Growing up {after about age 5} we didn't celebrate, so the only Halloween I remember was being a clown.

Although I must have been a clown more than once, because this particular picture was taken about 1 1/2 months before my 3rd birthday. And I know I don't remember my childhood {that} well!!!
I decided in celebration of today being Halloween, I would post pictures of every costume I ever wore. {Although there were a few years that silly me didn't get any pictures. Like that year I was a french maid.... darn, it was a pretty cute costume too, made by ME!!!}
Lets start with the most recent year... Last year! I was a {sexy} cop. That was the last time I was "that" drunk! I honestly do NOT remember this picture being taken. It's of me and one of my best friends Meada. I participated in a sexiest costume contest at the National Hotel {main street bar in Jackson CA} I seriously danced on a bar stool in front of a packed bar full of screaming people. WOW! I got second place. And had a blast until I got soooooo sick from WAY too much alcohol. I just can't party like that anymore. {I'm only 25??} But hey, I have some awesome memories from that crazy night!
The year before that I was a pirate! And for the first and ONLY time Mitch dressed up with me! We threw a party at our house. I decorated like crazy! The last time my house will ever look like that! These days I stick to decorating ONLY the outside, {these particular decorations were up the entire month of October!} and I keep the inside all cozy and normal!

Halloween 2004 and 2005 were both spent in this costume. Why? I liked it... and I was probably too broke to buy a new one that I liked as much as my graveyard fairy costume! I made my mom dress up in 2004. She was a witch, and we hit the main street Jackson bars for some drinks and a fun mother daughter Halloween night! We were like the only ones that were dressed up, she was kinda embarrassed, but it was funnnnnnn.

2003!!! I was a WITCH! We had a contest at Safeway {my former job of 7 years} and I once again, won 2nd place. Darn the 2nd place spot!!! I worked the entire day... and when I got home I took pictures, took off those LONG eyelashes, and went to bed.

The year before {2002} I was also working! Notice my name tag?? I was a cat! I even had a tail.... which you can't see in the pic. MEOW!!!

Rewind 2 years to the year 2000 {because 2001 was the year I was a french maid} and I'm a little devil! This was the first time I dressed up since the childhood clown costume. Here I am with Jesse Doyle. We worked together at my first job {K Mart}. I was 17, had just graduated high school, and was having a blast at a party where I only knew 2 or 3 people!!!

Well, that's as far down Halloween memory lane that I can take you. It's been fun..... I need to sleep now. I wish you all a very spooky Halloween!

I am {that} weird!

***WARNING***
If you don't like feet, don't read this post.... lol!!!

Ok, So being the HUGE dork I am {plus the fact I was bored, and LOVE the socks I have on} I decided to take a picture of my feet {and legs} wearing my socks...

Aren't they just adorable? So I got to thinking of all the {Kim's feet} pictures I take! Trust me, if I included pictures of other feet that weren't mine this post would not just be long, but super duper long!
There's BARE feet! I think I took this one because my toenails were freshly painted, and they matched the vase and curtains so well, haha!
Pretty Slippered feet. Notice that my slippers match my studio, because I just love BLUE and GREEN! And they have butterflies on them, because I also love butterflies!!!

These feet were wearing new green birthday heels! I had an awesome sparkly dress to wear them with!! Of course I didn't wear them long, because we went roller skating for my birthday... I MADE everyone come. We had a BLAST!!! Yes I was roller skating in a dress {although I must admit I decided to put jeans on under my dress due to the fact that it was FREEZING outside, there might have been snow!}
The feet on the car dash were on their way to my sister Danetta's 21st birthday party! They were happy summertime feet, that loved to be in these lace up shoes!!!
Red shoes shown are one of my FAVORITES, and "oh so comfy" really!!! And they are on DRUNK feet! Notice how wobbly they look, hee hee!
Now before you even say how UGLY these black boot wearing feet are, trust me I know! But I was a witch for Halloween, and needed to wear some ugly witchy shoes! So my Aunt loaned me these! So out came my camera to capture the utter ugliness!
These are plain ol' everyday feet! They were standing in line at the grocery store. After walking through a field to get there!
Which would explain the icky dirtiness of Mitch's feet standing next to them! {below}
So, sometimes I get feet picture participants! As the picture above, and these last four will show!
Below is a WILLING participant! Danetta is a shoe whore like me, so we like taking pictures of our feet, I mean shoes! ;o)
Once my nieces tiny baby feet participated in a fun comparison photo shoot! She falls into the "I had no choice" category of willingness I suppose!
Then there's my unknowing participant. Mitch was sleeping in the picture below! Haha. I don't think he is even aware this picture exists!
And finally, there is the "unwilling" participant!!! Poor little Sami {littlest sister} was victim to me and my camera the other day! She was involved in a conversation with Shad, and I was camera happy! Once I took it, she looked at me and asked if I had just taken a picture of our feet??? YEPPERS! And I'm not gonna delete it. Hahahahahaha!
So in conclusion, I am {that} weird! A silly girl that enjoys taking pictures, loves randomness, and is a HUGE dork by nature! But I hear my people love me just the way I am!

OK, I gotta make dinner now, and finish my hall-O-ween dec-O-rating!!! Good night!!!!!

Christmas {Tree} Card... finally done!

Do you remember this post and this post? Well my drawing finally made its way into becoming a card! YAY! I'm a slacker girl lately with Halloween decorating and making my small garage into a mini haunted house for the neighborhood kids... so I won't be listing it until I actually make a matching envelope. But I decided to take a mini break from decorating and share a few pictures.
So what do you think? It really looks soooo much better in real life. It's all super dimensional, and sparkly and pretty! I really need a WAY better camera. Someday.......

And until then I will try my best to capture as much as I can using my crappy camera and my scanner. :)

Dylan's Photo Shoot

Hi! I know it's been a few days since I last posted. I went to California for a few days to pick up my Halloween decorations, and to visit my family and friends.

Mitch didn't want to go, so I took my little sister Samantha instead. She lives nearby in Reno. We stayed at my sister Danetta's house. Mom and my nephew Dylan also stayed the night at Netta's house. It was great, a family sleepover! We had so much fun!!!

While I was there, I decided to do a photo shoot of Dylan in Danetta's back yard. So I thought I'd share some pictures!

I was so surprised this many turned out so great! He always has a big cheesy smile when he sees the camera pointing at him. And he gets very posey. I had to coach him a lot, and at the end just let him play and told him I would take pictures of him playing.
This last one was taken by my sister Danetta. It's me and him hugging. I love this little boy so much!

Coloring...

Every time Mitch called me yesterday he would ask what are you doing? And every single time I would answer "Coloring".
It got pretty darn funny, and to the point where he would just say "are you still coloring?" Well kinda, but not exactly. I was coloring, embossing, glittering, layering, cutting and gluing. Plus playing on the computer, cooking dinner, picking up around the house, taking a lunch break, and dealing with Chumba (aka bad doggy in case you weren't sure) every 5 freakin minutes!!!
He drives me nutso's. It is like babysitting, and no that wasn't a typo, dog sitting would be a breeze. But I was "babysitting" my own dog, who thinks everything, and I mean everything is his chew toy. And baby proofing, oops I mean dog proofing my home is pointless now, because he has recently discovered that furniture and vinyl floors are the best chew toys. What to do? What to do? Maybe I'll go insane???
Sorry, back to my "coloring"... You remember my drawing? Well yesterday I finally managed to squeeze in some time to work on it. So I took a few pictures of the different stages.
Notice the red circle in the last picture? That is the next thing to be colored, the little bear that is going to get layered on there just one more time.

Now don't judge me based on these pictures, they aren't the best, I seriously need a new (better) camera. And am not gonna scan my work in progress. But come on admit it, seeing my creative process is fun!!! Now I'm off to finish this baby. Next up: The completed card. WOO HOO!

Memememememe... You know you were dying to know!

So Kim, one of my favorite people in the blog world, tagged me to do a fun meme! I am more than happy to oblige her! But won't be tagging others. I am still fairly new to blog land and honestly don't have many peeps to tag. But... if you read me and think you'd have fun answering these questions, make sure to let me know! I'd love to read your answers!!!

7 Things I Want To Do Before I Die...

1. Have a real life store of my own... selling something made just by me (or at least a really cute and successful web store!)

2. Have a couple little kidlets to call my own.

3. Catch up on all my personal scrapbooks. Somehow I get a year further behind every year! ???

4. Be known for being on time, instead of always late!

5. Learn how to play the piano.

6. Have my dream scrapbook studio.

7. Go to New York.7 Things I Can Do...

1. Make my own Christmas Cards.

2. Make an amazing apple pie (with the best flaky crust, even my MIL who is an awesome cook is jealous)

3. Program the remote control with ease (which blows Mitch's mind, cause he couldn't if he tried, lol!)

4. Act out and sing along to The Little Mermaid, since I was 6? 7? 8 years old? Something like that.

5. Change the subject (and when I want to you won't even know the subjects been changed)

6. Eat an entire bag of string cheese, god I love that stuff!

7. Shop!!! Seriously!

7 Things I Can Not Do...

1. Live without my Carmex.

2. Get my hands wet without lotion nearby. (I HATE getting wet!)

3. Wash dishes without gloves (see above)

4. Resist buying new shoes (I have about 85 pairs, and was dreaming of new ones just today!)

5. See with out my contacts in (I am legally blind without them, my drivers license even has a little notation on it)

6. Add without using my fingers.

7. Drink coffee (gross gross gross!)

7 Things That Attracted Me To My Hubby...

1. He is very a outgoing person (versus my shy self)

2. He always tries to make me laugh, even when I am screaming at him.

3. From day one, he has never been afraid to show his mushy side.

4. For almost 8 years now he calls me every time we are apart (several times each day) just to say hi and that he misses me.

5. He believes in karma and will go out of his way to help someone.

6. He tries his hardest to prove me wrong.

7. And when he realizes I am right (again) he gets the cutest sulky face, like a disappointed little boy and pretends to be mad at me.

7 Things I Say Most Often...

1. Seriously? (question)

2. Seriously! (statement)

3. Oh my God!

4. Stooooooop!

5. CHUMBA! NO!!!!! (my doggy is ALWAYS bad!)

6. Maybe.

7. babers... (insert whatever I might possibly want from him at that moment)

2. George Clooney (since I was a little girl)

3. Patrick Dempsey. Who can resist McDreamy???

4. Hugh Laurie... I love him on House, don't laugh!

5. Matthew McConaughey. Who doesn't?

6. Michael Vartan, I miss Alias.

7. Ryan Phillippe, ever since Cruel Intentions, that boys a hottie!
